What is Address Verification?
Address Verification allows Super Admin and Admin users to select a verified address when creating a new Location or updating an existing Location.
Key Features
- Displays dynamic address suggestions while entering the data
- Shows a verification status icon (green checkmark) in the Physical Address field
- Unverified addresses will display a yellow warning icon in the Physical Address field
Note: Addresses are optional. The Physical Address field may be left empty/null.
Address Verification in the Web App
- Log in to the Smartsense Web App and navigate to ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT. Click MANAGEMENT > click + ADD NEW, then click on LOCATION from the dropdown.
- Select a TEMPLATE. Several other fields will display after this first field is completed.
- In the ADDRESS field, start typing an address. After typing a few characters, address suggestions will automatically appear.

Continue typing until the desired address appears in the drop-down list or select a validated address from the suggestions ( scroll down in the drop-down box). Once an address is selected and validated, a green icon appears next to the field.
- Fill out all other required fields, then click SAVE in the bottom right.

Addresses uploaded in bulk via TOOLS will display an Unverified Address icon in the Web app. Addresses added during a bulk upload will need to be updated individually by accessing the EDIT LOCATION page in the Web app to receive a VERIFIED status.
Note: A physical address is not required for the Web App and an unverified address can be entered in the field.
Address Verification in Install by SmartSense
- Log in to the Install by SmartSense mobile app.
- Navigate to the SITE SELECTION screen, click the PLUS button in the bottom corner, then click ADD LOCATION.
- Select the template, then click CONTINUE.
- In the PHYSICAL ADDRESS field, start typing an address to display suggestions. Keep typing until the desired address appears in the drop-down list.
- Select a validated address from the suggestions. An icon appears next to the field once it is validated.
- Fill out the rest of the required fields (if applicable), then click CONTINUE.
- Verify the information on the Configuration page.
Note: Physical Address is required in the SmartSense by Install app AND it must be a verified address.
