How to Create a New Asset

How to create and configure an asset in the Smart Sense platform.

1. Hover over the ADMIN tab and select ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT.
   
   
   
   
2. You should now be on the Organization Management screen. Locate the organization or location you wish to add a new asset then click on the ELLIPSIS (three dots) to the far right and select +NEW ASSET from the menu.
   
   
   
   
3. You should now be on the Create New Asset page. If you have multiple locations, click on the CREATE ASSET IN field and select or search for the location where you need to add the asset.
   
   In the ASSET NAME field, choose a unique name for the asset then select one of the available options in the ENVIRONMENT field.  
   
   
   
   

4. Under the ASSET DATA section,  you have the option to include the make, model, year, and tags for the asset.
   
   
   
   

5. Next, you will need to configure a sensor that will be associated with this asset. Select + ADD NEW SENSOR (you will need the Sensor Device ID for this step).
   
   
   
   
6. A modal window will appear on your screen. Any field marked with a red asterisk is required and must be completed before moving to the next step. Once you have completed all required fields, select SAVE.
   
   
   
   
7. Click SAVE INSTANCE in the bottom corner to create and configure your new asset.
