How to use the Jolt sublist item type

The sublist item type is a useful feature in the Jolt web app that helps you organize lengthy checklists by adding a secondary list within a parent list, making it easier for employees to complete tasks. Make sure you have a list template prepared prior.

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app and navigate to lists > edit lists.

  2. On the next screen, create a new list or choose an existing one where you want to add a Sublist.

  3. Click + add new item and select sublist from the dropdown menu.

  4. Next, you will need to configure the sublist by filling out the required fields:

    • Prompt text: Enter descriptive text that explains what the sublist is for.

    • Allow users to mark as N/A (not applicable): Select this box if the Sublist is optional.

    • Out of order: Select this box if the item should not be used (e.g., machinery or appliances).

    • Attach media (optional): Use the information library to attach any relevant media, such as images or documents.

  5. Under sub list options, select the template you want to use from the dropdown.

  6. Click save to apply changes.

  7. You will automatically return to the parent list where you can continue to add other list item types or additional sublists or close the screen.
