Jolt user guide for enabling/disabling list completion and information library access

Learn how to set up permissions to complete lists on the Jolt app in personal mode, including how to use geofencing for location-based list access.

List completion permissions

Lists can be completed on a personal device (personal mode) or a shared device (shared mode). The chosen mode is selected when you first sign into a device.

You can control list access in different ways:

  • Allow access: Lists can be completed from any location and device at any time.

  • Allow access with geofence: Lists can only be completed within specific geographical areas you define.

  • Do not allow access: Lists can only be completed on devices connected in shared device mode (like in-store tablets).

How to configure list completion permissions

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app

  2. Navigate to menu > settings and click on locations to view your list of locations.

  3. Select the location you want to configure.

  4. Under device and location access, choose the access settings that suit your needs.

  5. Click save to apply the changes.

Setting up geofencing

  1. Under allow access with geofence, you can set up specific locations where list completion is allowed.

  2. Use the map or location settings to define these areas. Ensure your device's location services are enabled to properly use geofencing.

  3. Review your geofence settings and confirm everything is set to your preferences.

  4. Click save to apply these settings.
