Before you begin, please ensure there is a USB connection. This is required for a successful firmware update. Please leave the printer plugged in and don’t power-cycle mid-update unless directed. After success, printing can resume.
Log in to the Jolt mobile app and navigate to printer settings.
On the next screen, select USB printer > advanced > check for firmware update.
Next, you will need to locate your printer and restart the device. Hold down the power button for ~5 seconds then power back on.
Confirm the printer has restarted by pressing pause. If it doesn’t pause, restart again.
Next, go back to the mobile app and tap update. This process typically takes about 10-15 minutes, and the printer will be unavailable during this period.
Note: Advanced controls will be disabled and the will status display “Upgrading firmware.” You can continue using the Jolt mobile app in the meantime.
Once the firmware update has completed, you will see a banner appear in the mobile app: “[printer serial]’s firmware has successfully been updated. You may begin printing now.”
