BZ gateway reset & power cycle

Reset BZ Gateway

1. Press and hold the power button (located on the side of the BZ Gateway).
2. After 15-20 seconds, a red LED will illuminate.
3. Keep holding the power button until a white LED illuminates for approximately 5 seconds, then release the power button.
4. Monitor the LED activity for the next 30-45 seconds to confirm you have not powered off your Gateway.
    

NOTE: This is a hard reset. Please work with the SmartSense Support team before performing.

Reset Gateway Power Cycle

The power cycle is used to completely turn off your device to troubleshoot issues.

1. Press and hold the power button (located on the side of the BZ Gateway).
2. After 8-12 seconds, a red LED will illuminate.
3. Release the power button. Your BZ Gateway is now turned off.
4. Wait 2 minutes before continuing.
5. Press the power button to turn the BZ Gateway back on.
6. Monitor the LED activity for the next 30-45 seconds to confirm the Gateway remains on.

 If the everything is functioning as expected, you can proceed with installing your BZ Gateway.
