Using the logbook feature in the Jolt mobile app

The Jolt logbook feature allows you to leave notes, comments, and attachments on specific list items. This is useful for tracking issues, noting observations, or communicating with your team about specific tasks.

To use the Logbook feature, you must have logbook admin access. This access allows you to comment, view, and resolve all logbook entries when logged into the Jolt mobile app. Users without this access can only view and comment on their own entries.

  1. Log in to the Jolt mobile app and navigate to the menu > logbook.

  2. Tap the blue plus sign in the bottom right corner of the screen to create a new entry.

  3. First, enter your comment in the provided text box.

  4. Next, you can add media such as pictures, videos, or other files.

  5. Click post when you are ready for the entry to go live.

  6. If you are a logbook admin, you can manage entries by flagging posts that need attention and resolve them once addressed. Flagged entries will trigger a red badge notification in the mobile app, indicating the number of unresolved posts (the badge updates as entries are flagged or resolved).

  7. Entries highlighted in white are new and have not been viewed. Gray entries have been viewed but are still active.

  8. You can also search and filter using the following features:

    • Text search - Use the search bar to find entries by keywords or people.

    • Filters - Apply filters to sort entries by status, such as flagged, resolved, unread, and read. You can also filter by a specific date or date range.

  9. You will also see several different icons:

    • Checkmark & flag - Indicates if an entry has been resolved.

    • Eye icon - Shows the number of users who have viewed the entry.

    • Text box icon - Displays the number of comments on the entry.

    • Paper clip icon - Indicates if the entry has media attachments.

  10. Additionally, you can add comments to continue discussions or provide updates on an entry or mark issues as resolved once addressed to keep your logbook more organized.
