There are several user roles within SmartSense and each role has various permissions that define the responsibilities of each user. Below you can find the user role definitions and the areas they can access as well as a permissions matrix.
Super Admin
Administrator at the organization/account level who can access all areas in the SmartSense account. These users can run/schedule reports, make changes to assets (such as placing them in Maintenance Mode, changing the asset name or location, editing asset tags, etc.), assign or remove sensors, and create/edit checklists.
Admin
Administrator over the level to which they are assigned. This user can access the same features as a Super Admin but their permissions are limited to their own location(s). Administrator cannot access Digital Logbook to edit/configure checklists.
Responder
The Responder can run reports, acknowledge incidents, and complete scheduled checklists. The Responder cannot use Maintenance Mode or make changes to assets, users, or alarms.
Responder+
This role shares the same permissions as a Responder but can also place assets in/out of Maintenance Mode.
Viewer
This role has “view only” permissions. The Viewer can run reports and view incidents but cannot make changes to incidents, acknowledge incidents, complete scheduled checklists, edit assets, or place assets into Maintenance Mode.
Notifications Only
This role exists so that a phone number, email, or text can be assigned to an alarm to receive notifications. The Notification Only user cannot log in to the SmartSense Web dashboard.
