How to create an announcement in the Jolt web app

Jolt announcements allow you to communicate important info to employees before they clock in. Announcements can include text, videos, documents, or questions that employees must complete at the start of the day.

Creating an announcement

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app and navigate to communication > announcements.

  2. Click on +new announcement in the upper right corner.

  3. Under basic settings, enter a title for your announcement and optionally set a start and expiration date.

  4. Next, upload a video or document and add some optional notes in the text editor.

  5. Under role-based access for, you can determine who will see the announcement (either all employees or employees with specific roles).

  6. Finally, add questions that employees must answer correctly before they clock in for the day.

  7. Once all settings are configured, click save to apply changes. The announcement is ready, and employees will be required to read and interact with it before clocking in.

From the announcements page, you'll be able to view user data as employees submit their responses. Clicking on the summary will give you detailed information including who read the announcement and the number of failed attempts.

If the announcement needs to be adjusted or is no longer valid, you can edit or deactivate it at any time.
