Exporting & importing Jolt lists

Jolt allows you to efficiently manage and share your checklists and lists by exporting/importing them. Learn how to edit, duplicate, copy, and manage these lists.

How to export lists

Exporting lists is useful for sharing checklists with other locations, editing multiple lists, or creating similar lists in different locations or content groups.

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app and navigate to lists > browse lists.

  2. Use the filters to find the list(s) you want to export. You can filter by list name or other criteria. Make sure you also select a date range.

  3. Once you are done filtering the list, click download as csv to start the export process.

  4. A modal window will appear. Choose an option from the list and click download.

  5. You can download the CSV file to your computer and open it as a spreadsheet using an application like Excel or Google Sheets.

  6. In your spreadsheet application, delete any unnecessary columns and ensure that you keep the required fields: item type (e.g., checkmark, photo, etc.) and prompt.

How to import lists

Importing allows you to bring lists into Jolt from a spreadsheet, making it easier to create new lists or update existing ones.

  1. Log in to the Jolt web app and navigate to lists > edit lists.

  2. On the next screen, you can create a new list (click the plus sign in the bottom right corner) or edit an existing one (click on a list from all lists).

  3. Once you are done modifying the list, click on the kebab menu (three vertical dots) in the upper-right corner and select import translation csv.

  4. A modal window will appear. Drag and drop or browse your computer and upload a CSV file. This file will be imported into Jolt.

  5. Click save to apply changes and allow the CSV file to be imported.

  6. Once the import is complete, you can add more items or close out of the browser window.
