Z Sensor: How Long is Data Stored When the Z Gateway Is Not Connected?
When a Z Gateway goes offline the Z Sensor will store data for roughly 10 days if on a 5-minute interval and 30 days if on a 15-minute interval. However, this can vary based on temperature and humidity sensors on both ports. If the devices are offline beyond that time then the oldest readings will get dumped/lost first.
When the Z Gateway comes online again, the Z Sensor will dump 2x stored readings for every 1x real-time reading.
Example: If the Z Sensor was offline for 30 hours, it would take approximately 10 hours or 1/3 of the time to backfill.
At each backfill interval, the Z Sensor sends:
- Real-time reading
- Oldest stored reading
- Newest stored reading
