How water resistant is the Z sensor?

The standard temperature sensor and combination temperature/humidity sensors are water-resistant and not rated for submersion. We also offer stainless steel (316 FDA-approved stainless steel) tipped waterproof and chemical-resistant temperature sensor probes rated for outdoor use.

Devices, including Z sensors, should be kept dry, even inside a freezer as condensation can build on the board. The best practice is to leave the device outside the freezer and run a sensor probe inside.
