Z Sensor: Water Resistance of Sensor

The standard temperature sensor and combination temperature/humidity sensors are water resistant and not rated for submersion. We also offer stainless steel (316 FDA approved stainless steel) tipped water proof and chemical resistant temperature sensor probes rated for outdoor use.

Devices, including Z Sensors, should be kept dry, that includes when inside a freezer as condensation can build on the board. Best practice is to leave the device outside the freezer and run a sensor probe inside.
