How to enable training mode
Training Mode is a feature that can be activated when training staff (e.g., when opening a new location). During this training period, the checklist completion percentage will not be calculated into your location’s score to ensure the checklist completion data remains accurate and relevant.
This feature can only be managed by a user with Super Administrator permissions.
Create a checklist with training mode
- Log in to the SmartSense Web App, then select digital logbook > checklists.
- Click on the name of a Checklist Group.
- Select + checklist in the upper right corner.
- Fill out all required fields.
- Under schedule mode, select the training checkbox.
- For the Start Date, enter the date when Training Mode should begin.
- For the End Date, enter the date when Training Mode should be completed.
- You can select No End Date if you do not want Training Mode to end.
- Click the save button in the bottom right corner to apply changes.
Edit a checklist with training mode enabled
- Log in to the SmartSense Web App, then select digital logbook > checklists.
- Click on the name of a Checklist Group.
- Locate the Checklist, then click on the ellipsis and select edit checklist from the drop-down menu.
- At the bottom of the page, you can make changes to schedule mode.
- Deselect the Training checkbox if you do not want Training Mode turned on.
- Edit the start and end times if you need to adjust the period that Training Mode is active.
The start date can be modified for a training period that has already started, but changes will take effect with the next schedule cycle.
- Once you are done editing, click the save button to apply changes. Changes will take effect with the next scheduled cycle.
Training mode in digital logbook
- Navigate to digital logbook > checklists
- On this page, you will find the schedule mode column, where you can view any checklists that have Training Mode enabled.
- A purple tag titled training will appear if Training Mode is assigned to the checklist.
Training mode toggle button
- Navigate to the Dashboard. At the top of the page, you will find scheduled checklist summary. Directly below, you will see a toggle button.
- By default, Training Mode is toggled off. Clicking on the toggle button will display any checklists that have Training Mode turned on.
Training Mode for HAACP Reports
- Navigate to the reports tab and select a HAACP report.
- On the next screen, you will see a toggle button called show excluded checklists. Turning this on will display any checklists that have Training Mode enabled.
