Resetting Your Password
In this video, we will show you how to reset your password on the SmartSense platform.
Password Reset Process

Click on the FORGOT PASSWORD link then enter your USERNAME (if you don't know your username, contact smartsupport@digi.com).

Click EMAIL ME MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION. You will receive an email from the SmartSense Support team providing you with a temporary password.

Return to the LOGIN page (app.smartsense.co) and enter your USERNAME and temporary PASSWORD.

Navigate to the top right corner of the home screen and select your NAME then click MY PROFILE.

From this page, select CHANGE PASSWORD to update your temporary password.
Administrator Password Reset Process
If you are an Administrator, you can push a password reset to a specific location.

Navigate to the ADMIN tab and select USER MANAGEMENT. This will take you to the User Management page.
- Locate the NAME then hover to the far right. An ELLIPSIS (three dots) should appear. Click on this and a dropdown menu will display.

Select RESET PASSWORD. You should receive a SUCCESS popup notification indicating that an email has successfully been sent to the email on file. The user will receive an email from the SmartSense Support email address notify@smartsense.co with the new temporary password.
- If a location does not receive the password reset email, please review/verify the below items.
- SmartSense Support email address notify@smartsense.co is whitelisted.
- Check the SPAM folder to see if the email was delivered there.
- If a location does not receive the password reset email, please review/verify the below items.

The user must go to app.smartsense.co to enter the USERNAME and TEMPORARY PASSWORD. Entering these credentials will automatically open the CREATE NEW PASSWORD page. Enter the new password and click SAVE NEW PASSWORD.
Note: the new password will need to:
- have at least 12 characters
- contain one uppercase letter
- contain one lowercase letter
- contain one non alphanumeric character
- not be the same as the username
- not be the same as the email
