WiFi: Troubleshooting Date and Time Settings
This guide provides information on how to set up and troubleshoot the date and time settings for the WiFi device. These settings are available in developer mode.
Settings to Check
- The WiFi device uses NTP to automatically set its time. You can see the NTP settings by accessing the "Preferences" tab.
- Check the Date and Time to verify that it is correct. If the year is correct but the hour is wrong, then check to see if you have the correct timezone set.
- If the year displayed is incorrect, this indicates that there is no connection to an NTP server. We have 4 setups by default for you. In order for these defaults to work, you will need to have port 123 open and a working internet connection.
- If you are using an internal NTP server make sure NTP traffic on port 123 is allowed on your network. If this does not work, try using the server's IP address instead of its name.
