B Gateway Dry Van Installation
Tutorial to walk you through gateway installation in a dry van.
- Install your gateway under the front of your dry van trailer using at least four screws for security.
- The gateway should be installed as high as possible while utilizing a six-foot ladder.
- Use as many cable clamps as necessary to secure the wiring to the back of the unit, making sure that the cable is tight and secure.
- Thread the power harness cable through the seven-way then pull through.
- Pull the harness taut and secure it to the trailer with zip ties and screws.
- Cut the power harness cable so that about six inches remain.
- Slice open the casing and peel back the casing to reveal the positive and negative wires.
- Be sure to cut off the extra casing from the red and black wires.
- Twist the ends of the positive and negative wires to make it easier to fit them in the casing for the crimps.
- Attach the crimps on the end of the wires.
- Remove the nut from the blue wire and add the crimp belonging to the red wire on top.
- Replace the nut.
- Remove the nut from the white wire and add the current belonging to the black wire.
- Replace the nut.
- Carefully place the fuse box inside the space within the seven-way.
- Replace the entire seven into its compartment.
- Bolt the seven-way shut and you're done.
