Digi SafeTemps: How To Create Units

Units are used to group your sensors. For example, if you have front of house and back of house equipment, you can group the sensors for each of these units. 

  1. Login to the SafeTemps dashboard (for more information on logging in, click here)
  2. Click the Accounts icon from the dashboard and select the account that you would like to work with
  3. Click the Admin button
  4. Click the Manage Units button
  5. To create a new unit, click the Add Unit button
  6. Enter the required information and click the Update button to save your changes
    • Unit ID: Assign the unit a numeral ID, this ID will determine the order in which your units appear within a list on your dashboard
    • Unit Description: Give your unit a description to describe the location of or what kind of sensors you would like to group
    • Gateway Device ID#: If applicable, assign your unit an associated gateway, or select No Device from the dropdown list
