Setting Up a Reading Offset

This  feature can be used across all of our devices if using Sensor Cloud,   The "Reading Offset" field can be used to adjust a temperature you know  is being influenced incorrectly. If you are looking for calibration you  will want to purchase NIST calibration services.

Example Scenario

Your  sensor near the exhaust of your cooler. This causes the device to pick  up all the excess hot air resulting in a reading that is always 6  degrees higher than the actual cooler temperature.  You can apply an  offset of -6 to remedy this problem.  This would decrease all  temperature readings by the device by 6 degrees.

Steps

1. Click view from the device list.
